Karleng Lim is an interdisciplinary artist interested in exploring and addressing the socio-cultural, economic and political issues of our times through the lens of our cultures and values. Karleng employs a variety of methods that include humour, object‐making, photography, video, collecting, preserving, assembling and transforming of different materials like found objects, plastics, organic and inorganic materials like, for example, dead animals, bones, plants and rocks.

Karleng was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and now lives and works in Melbourne, Australia. She is undertaking a Master of Contemporary Art at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne, and has a background in architecture.
