Karleng Lim is an interdisciplinary artist interested in exploring and addressing the relationship between power and the creation of mythology through a values-based lens centred on plurality, intersectionality, and a capitalist consumer culture. She interrogates the socio-cultural and political landscapes that emerge from these relationships by carrying out subversive and process led methodologies that include photography, installation, performative, video, and sculptural works to create humorous forms and spaces that invite contemplation of the polarities of modern life.

Karleng was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and now lives and works in Melbourne, Australia. She is undertaking a Master of Contemporary Art at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne, and has a background in architecture.
